Paradise Lost... Wow

Long but interesting.
It shouldve been like, "Genesis: the zequal" or "the Devils Point of View"
or something like that!
The man who wrote it was blind and still did better at writting stories then i do... how embarassing.
I guess I'm just not the imaginative kind of people. Oh well.:)
I really liked the movie we watched along with this book.
It kept me on the edge of my seat. I found a couple of similarities like, the angels and demons jaja
but i don't think that the two main characters ( the guy and pregnant lady) represented Adam and Eve. Instead, they seemed to Represent Mary and Joseph because Mary was pregnant with baby Jesus, and Joseph took care of her even thought it wasn't his child. In my head, it makes sense.
Other then that, it was similar because Micheal( the ex angel) had been on the devil's side and then turned to the good side, i think. At least thats the way I understood it. The grandma was creepy!!!
I thought it was cool how first they were going to be tested on their strengths and then on their weaknesses... that would've been hard to survive. I would've been the first one to die! Oh and I hate how the African American(Black) people died first... it happens in all the movies I've ever seen! They never survive:(

  1. Haha your right! The black people always do seem to die first huh?
But I think that Charlie and Jeep could have been seen as BOTH Adam and Eve and Mary and Joseph. I think they were like Adam and Eve because they were having to completely restart all of mankind, and their baby was going to be the first child of the new world. However, I get how you think they were like Mary and Joseph because in the movie the child was portrayed as "the savior" of mankind, just like how Jesus was. You also make a point that both Jeep and Joseph took care of the baby like it was their own. Im glad you enjoyed the movie though. It was kind of intense and gruesome at points, but it was the best we could do as far as showing a movie goes. haha

  2. Don't you think that this should be required for all Catholics to read. When I was reading this story I kept thinking back on how very little the catholic church actually covers in the bible. If you go to another church they provide bibles and one can look for the truth but in the Catholic church they do not do that they provide bits and parts of the bible in the book and thats it. How many catholics do you know that actually own a bible??!!

This was deffinately an interesting point of view to read even though the language was beastly at times.
