ThIs SeMeStEr:D

I must say that I'm going to miss going to this class:(
I love you Mrs. Watson:)
you were a really great teacher(even though you made those evil quizzes)
I never fully new what to expect in class. If I wasn't prepared, I had fearing of entering to fail another quiz.
But anyways... I loved that we got to watch so many movies:) some i had seen and others i hadn't. I like that we had no tests to do (that was a big lift off of my shoulders!), and unlike the rest of my english classes, it wasnt a bore.
I lost my reading phobia and started to read again.
I still don't read as much as I did when I was little, but I'm getting there. I just need to find that one book that will grab my attention enough.
I enjoyed reading all those stories, even though I had trouble understanding every other word.
I'm looking forward to next semester! Im taking Mrs. Watson's class again:)
Please no more quizzes. Ugh.
I always end up talking about the quizzed, they have me traumatized!
I'm going to miss everyone in the class including the people that were rarely there.
I felt that we, as a class, communicated pretty well, and for once, I got to learn
mostly everyone's names!
It was a good semester:)
I will never forget all of our interesting debates and board drawings and that one time the Caitlen and Josh were playing twister and had eachother's body parts in eachother's faces.
jajajajaja (the spanish version of hahahaha).. GOOD TIMES:)

The rebel against the quizzes of Mrs. Watson!

I just remembere that the other day Liz, I think, had us do an activity. We had to choose a problem in society or school, etc. adn find out ways to go against it I guess you could say. Or ways to over come it.
My group was made up of about 5 people, including Mrs. Watson.
We chose that the biggest problem in the classroom for us were her hard hard very hard quizzes.
It was difficult to state the ways to revolt against the quizzes because she was there hearing every little word we said, she would now know all our tricks.
We mentioned having a class strike were no one showed up to class, but she told us that she wouldn't care, she would just teach to the chairs and give all of us 0's.
I was shocked!
We started saying more ideas and we ended up with cheating by looking onto other people's answers, asking a class before us, changing answers, etc
-- however, our last choice stood out as the best, we would take over the class.
Somehow, Mrs. Watson would disappear
and never again would she be found!
MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
... but that's probably not going to happen, unless Josh and his wierd thoughts happen to come up with a way.
I guess we will keep on trying to pass, until she has mercy on us and stops giving the quizzes:(

Paradise Lost... Wow

Long but interesting.
It shouldve been like, "Genesis: the zequal" or "the Devils Point of View"
or something like that!
The man who wrote it was blind and still did better at writting stories then i do... how embarassing.
I guess I'm just not the imaginative kind of people. Oh well.:)
I really liked the movie we watched along with this book.
It kept me on the edge of my seat. I found a couple of similarities like, the angels and demons jaja
but i don't think that the two main characters ( the guy and pregnant lady) represented Adam and Eve. Instead, they seemed to Represent Mary and Joseph because Mary was pregnant with baby Jesus, and Joseph took care of her even thought it wasn't his child. In my head, it makes sense.
Other then that, it was similar because Micheal( the ex angel) had been on the devil's side and then turned to the good side, i think. At least thats the way I understood it. The grandma was creepy!!!
I thought it was cool how first they were going to be tested on their strengths and then on their weaknesses... that would've been hard to survive. I would've been the first one to die! Oh and I hate how the African American(Black) people died first... it happens in all the movies I've ever seen! They never survive:(

Taming of the Shrew

So we read the Taming of the Shrew in class and I absoulutely loved it! I saw it last year. It was performed by a small group of actors.. like 6 people. They all played different roles! The beauty, Bianca, was played by a guy! I thought that was amazing! Both the play and reading were hard to follow at times, but it was a unique story. It was the one I have enjoyed the most, so far:]
I compare this story to my sisters:)
One is nice, and everyone thinks she's really nice, and the other one is mean and rude and speaks her mind lol
I guess that could be a reason why the story interested me so much!
Anyways... along with the story, we watched the movie Ten Things I Hate About You. I had never heard of it before. I can't believe I lived all the 17 years of my life without knowing it existed. The "bad boy" was gorgeous! The movie was funny, sweet, and romantic( a total chick flick). I really enjoyed everything that had to do with this story. Shakespear was a total genious!

Canterbury Tales

So... I'm trying to catch up on all my blogs and I thought that i might as well post this blog up now:)

The Canterbury Tales were funny!
I can't believe the first one, the Miller's Prologue and Tale.
Mostly the tale though! It was so... how do i say it. OUT OF THE ORDINARY. Guys tricking other guys, girls sticking their gluteus maximus out the window for another to kiss, farting in a guys face, and having a hot iron thing get shoved up the... well you should know! It was waayy out there, but I guess that's what i should've expected from the drunk miller(whose name is Robin).
The other Tale that grabbed my attention was the Wife's Tale. I agree with her in many things: mostly the sovereignty for women part:)
Women should be the one's with power in the house! We can't let men walk over us! But maybe we can share the power.... That would be better then competing for it. It was kind of gross that she was so old married with that young guy though. What was that guy thinking! EW! People were real wierd back in those days.
Now, the Pardoner's Tale surprised me:o
It was the most interesting and even though he wasn't listening to his own advice, he gave good advice. He also personified death which made the story more interesting. It's funny how at the end they all kill each other and find death because of greed. Its a great story to explain the evil of greed.
The Nun's Priest's Tale was wierd. I didn't really understand it much at first. I had to reread it like five times! That's how i learned the names! except for the rooster's... that one is still hard to even pronounce. But overall it was a good tale:)
They all were... I'm kind of glad we didn't have to read ALL of the Tales tho! That would've taken FOREVER!

Everyman

This was the story I chose for my presentation in class.
It was sooooooo IRONIC!! I had no clue what it was about. All I knew was that it was a play(that's the reason I chose it), and it ended up being about the catholic religion.. or at least based on it! AND I'M CATHOLIC!! It made it so much easier to understand the story, and this was the first one I could actually read! The language wasn't so hard.
I love how the author personified all the characters. It kind of added more interest to the play. The play is a morality play.. so it's basically like a sermon at church!  It says that we shouldn't be so dependent on physical features or material need because, at the end, all we take to heaven is our soul/spirit. Our bodies stay here and rot along with the rest of our belongings.. unless we give them away....  We should go to confession more often to kind of purify our souls. Confessions are not as easy as it seams... you have to really repent for that(hopefully). Then we are given a penance whether it be pray every night, pray a certain prayer, say sorry to the one's you've hurt, etc. At confession, we see how God is a God of mercy. He forgives as long as you repent and you want to be forgiven, but for all this, you need knowledge! Without knowledge, we wouldn't know what to do, and once our bodies are pure, we have our Good Deeds left with us to help us better ourselves.

But any how....

I loved this story and I'm so glad i chose it for my presentation. I made up a whole game using the character! Except Doctor. I didn't know how to put him into the game. I worked really hard on it and I hope everyone will enjoy it:)

Canterbury Tales: The hidden Character

Meet Nacha. Atleast Everyone else calls her Nacha, but you may call her by her real name, Rafaela Ignacia Berengaria Antonietta de La Cruz Garza Hernandez Sotelo Acevedo Ramirez. She's is 15 years old and LOOOVVEESSS meat! She is hispanic, but doesn't know spanish. In other words, she is what you would call "white-washed". Although she may look emo, she is the biggest prep you will ever meet! She speaks her mind, and has a one of a kind attitude: fiesty! She hates how her mom is always borrowing her clothes, and she has one older brother that is 30 and still lives with them. She has one dog that she never takes care of; actually, the last time she saw it was about three months ago. She fantasizes about  being famous and hopes to have her big break soon( but her singing voice is terrible!) And Last but not least, She never shaves for she hopes to travel to France and marry a French dude and she heard that they like their girls harry, besides, it keeps her warm during the winter. :P

Too Much Reading!!

I have so much reading to do this semester including regular books and class text books. Both of my Sociology and Psychology classes  require me to read a lot. Then i have my Civics and Economics class that i have to read Common Sense for by some dude with the last name of Beck. I have another English class i have to read for a part from this class.

Anyways, for this class I have already started reading Beowulf, and ... well.. i don't understand a single thing i have read so far. I think what happened was that Beowulf's dad died or something like that. Someone died. At least I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I think now someone is trying to safe something.

ALL THE NAMES ARE SOOOOOOOOOO CONFUSING!!

I will see how the rest of my reading goes tonight.
